Water Kefir

What we need:


  • 100 gr Kefir mushrooms.

  • 10 organic Dried raisins. It could be any kind of dried fruit.

  • 50 gr Organic Sugar.

  • ½ Organic Lemon.

  • 1 - 2 organic Eggshells.

  • 1 liter of Cold water.


Tools: We recommend never use metal.

  • Container.

  • 1 liter jar.

  • Spoon.

  • Kitchen scale.

  • Bowl.

  • Strainer.

  • funnel.

  • Juicer.


What we do:

  1. Pour the cold water into the jar.

  2. Disolve the sugar with a small amount of hot water, add it into the jar. 

  3. Pour in the Jar the Kefir mushrooms, eggshells, lemon and raisins and close it. 

  4. store at room temperature tightly closed for 48 hours.

after 48 hours:

  1. open the jar and take out the lemon, the eggshells and the raisins. Save the dried fruit and use it in a shake, fruit salad or anything you want!

  2. Squeeze the lemon juice and add it into the bowl. 

  3. Strain the kefir into the bowl. reuse the kefir mushroom for the next drinks! 

  4. Pour the kefir through the funnel into the bottle and store the kefir in the fridge.

After that is going to be ready to enjoy it with your meals!!!

For the second fermenting:

  1. Use the water kefir you had and pour it into a container.

  2. Add ginger, citrus, fruits or anything you want to change the flavour!

  3. Close it and leave it for 8 hours.
